Buyer Tips
For standard stock colors, most District 4 suppliers start at 100 dozen pairs per style. Custom colors and logos push minimums to 300 dozen — still lower than many Western blank wholesale distributors. Test a new design with stock colors at 100 dozen before committing to custom production.
The EU Textile Regulation (EU 1007/2011) requires accurate fiber content on all garment labels. Ask your supplier for a fabric composition certificate for every product. “80% polyester, 20% nylon” needs to be verifiable — not just printed on the label at your request.
Hat and glove orders placed before September can ship in time for Q4 retail. Wait until October and you will be competing for production capacity that is already booked. Most District 4 knitwear suppliers lock their Q4 order books by mid-September.
