Vehicle import is not the same as importing general goods. These questions come up in almost every enquiry.
Most manufacturers accept single-unit orders for standard models. Engineering equipment orders are almost always single units. For passenger EVs, some brands require dealer agreements for ongoing supply — we can advise on what applies to your target brand.
We check this during the quotation stage. Different markets have different homologation requirements — some accept Chinese certificates directly, others require additional testing. Tell us the destination country and vehicle type and we'll confirm before you commit to an order.
BEV (battery electric vehicle) runs entirely on battery — no combustion engine. PHEV (plug-in hybrid) has both a battery and a petrol/diesel engine that can run independently. EREV (extended-range EV) runs primarily on electric motor but carries a small generator engine that charges the battery — it does not drive the wheels directly.
Passenger cars and light commercial vehicles typically ship RoRo (roll-on/roll-off) — driven onto the ship, strapped in place. Heavy equipment and trucks often ship in open-top containers or on flat-rack containers. We confirm the best method per order based on vehicle type, quantity, and destination port options.
Warranty coverage varies by brand and market. Some brands (BYD, NIO, Xpeng) have established overseas dealer networks that cover warranty claims. Others require you to arrange servicing independently. We disclose the warranty situation for each brand before you order — not after.
For in-stock models: 4–8 weeks from order confirmation to departure from China, plus sea freight time (varies by destination). For made-to-order or low-volume models: 8–16 weeks production, then shipping. Engineering equipment from stock: 2–4 weeks. We give specific timelines per order.
